Nestled in the heart of Rungwa Game Reserve and sharing a large boundary with Ruaha National Park, our Rungwa area encompasses dense miombo forest, large rock outcroppings, and open savanna. Located away from the popular photographic circuits, Rungwa is pristinely wild and wildly pristine.
Located in western Tanzania, the Ugalla River cuts a path through the lush patchwork of grassy wetlands and stands of Borassus palms. This riverine paradise, resembling the Okavango Delta, is notable for its roaming herds of roan and sable grazing on the floodplains. Due to its extreme remoteness, this area is only accessible five months of the year.
Two hours southeast of Arusha on the boundary of Tarangire National Park, this part of Maasailand is home to many species of plains game found nowhere else on the continent. There are minimal insects due to the elevation and aridity of the steppe and, on clear day, you can see Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru above the expanse of baobab and acacia trees.
